You will discover hidden treasures of our civilization : in the Châtillon sur Seine Museum, particularly the surprising vase of Vix, or at Fontenay by visiting the Cistercian Abbey. The remarkable historical site of Alesia is very close to our place. Walking around the Marcenay Lake will give you an opportunity to discover this protected wildlife and flora area. You will find a small pond around fields and forests, at about 3 miles, and close to the ancient Gallo-Roman town of Vertillum, you can stop to have a picnic and go fishing. 

You will also appreciate the AOC wine of Burgundy (AOC Champagne from Riceys). 

The Medieval castle in Guedelon site, is a place where you can witness a craftsmen built authentic medieval castle. This place attracts a large number of people with diverse interests. With nearly 250,000 visitors in 2006, Guédelon has become the number-one paying tourist site in the Yonne department and the second in the Burgundy region. 

The cellar wine of Bailly have been around since 1972, in an ancient stone quarry.. The Beru Castle and the famous Chablis vineyard is an historical 12th century, renaissance and 17th century mansion, dominating one of the most typical vine covered Chablis slopes...
